Biography

Dr. Shupe was raised in North Carolina and completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his optometric degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee and received training at the Memphis VA Hospital.

Dr. Shupe has been practicing at Medical Center Eye Clinic in Salem, Oregon since 2018. Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest, he practiced in northern California for eight years. Dr. Shupe has a passion for ocular surface disease and glaucoma that he brought with him to Medical Center Eye Clinic. In his first year, he helped establish a Dry Eye Clinic that has grown into a thriving and valuable facet of the practice.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Shupe enjoys sharing his knowledge with his colleagues, co-workers and patients. He has presented lectures on varied topics at continuing education and corporate events around the country.

In his leisure time, Adam enjoys photography, trivia, racquetball, fencing, skiing, cheering on his favorite teams and traveling across the globe with his lovely wife Diana.
